CSIR-NIScPR is hiring 6 Senior Project Associates (SPA) for five research projects at its New Delhi laboratory. This is a walk-in interview on 16 July 2026 — there is no online form to fill. CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (CSIR-NIScPR), a multidisciplinary national research laboratory under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, has invited eligible Indian citizens for a walk-in interview to engage 6 Senior Project Associates across five different research projects. These are contract posts running up to 31 March 2027 or co-terminus with the project. This is a good opportunity for researchers in science communication, policy, environmental science, and water resource management.

• Traditional Wisdom: Environmental Consciousness in Vedic Literature: 2 SPA

Total: 6 Senior Project Associate posts. The number of positions may increase or decrease.

Who Can Apply?

The qualification is the same for all five projects. You qualify if you meet any one of these:

• Master's/Integrated Master's in Natural, Agricultural or Pharmaceutical Sciences, MVSc, or Animal Sciences.
• Bachelor's in Engineering, Technology or Medicine plus 3 years of R&D experience in industrial/academic institutions or S&T organizations.
• Master's/Integrated Master's in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university.
• Doctoral degree in Science/Pharma/MD/MS plus 2 years of R&D experience.

Desirable Skills (vary by project)

• Good writing, articulation, and computer skills with demonstrated research output.
• For the rural development project: literature review, survey, and data analysis experience.
• For the water footprint project: large data handling, mathematical modelling, and water assessment experience.
• For the science communication project: graphic design, video/reels production, podcasting, and script writing.
• For the traditional wisdom project: experience in environmental science, regional language translation, and science communication.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 40 years (reckoned as on the date of the interview).
• Age Relaxation: Available as per CSIR rules for reserved categories.

Salary

• Each Senior Project Associate gets Rs. 42,000 per month plus HRA.
• HRA is paid as per the rules of the sponsoring agency. You must arrange your own accommodation.

Selection Process

Selection is done on the walk-in day based on:

1. Academic Records: Your past academic performance is assessed.
2. Test (if held): Performance in a screening test, if conducted.
3. Interview: A personal interview with the selection committee.

Only candidates who have completed their qualification (at least a provisional certificate) can attend. Final-semester and result-awaited candidates are not eligible where the qualification is mandatory.
