Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial engagement: You join on an ad hoc basis for 89 days. Continued service depends on the hospital’s needs and approval; this notice does not offer a regular appointment.
• Extension: The hospital may extend your engagement after a mandatory one-day break, based on satisfactory work, performance and conduct reported by your department head.
• Overall tenure: The notice limits senior residency to three years, including previous service, or until a regular appointee joins, whichever happens earlier. Read the separate experience conditions for the fallback consideration of doctors who have already completed senior residency.
• Accommodation: Hostel accommodation is mandatory for selected doctors when it is available. Keep this condition in mind when considering work at the hospital.
• Outside employment: You must not work at another government or private healthcare facility when joining or during your JPCH tenure. Breaching the undertaking can lead to termination.
• Travel expenses: The hospital does not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview.
• Reservation: If suitable applicants in reserved categories are unavailable, the notice allows those positions to be filled from the General category. The advertised positions are provisional and can change.
• Category claims: A false claim to a reserved category can lead to immediate termination and further action under the applicable law.
• Hospital discretion: The competent authority can amend or cancel the drive and decide selection disputes. The advertisement may also be withdrawn following directions from the Central Recruitment Committee, MAMC.
