CPRI Management Associate Recruitment 2026: Overview

Central Power Research Institute (CPRI) is an autonomous society under the Ministry of Power that tests and certifies power equipment and runs applied research for India's electricity sector. Through Advertisement No. CPRI/08/2026, it is hiring Management Associates to work at CPRI, Bengaluru. Each post sits in a different division, so the work ranges from project planning to business development to testing coordination.

This is a temporary engagement, not a regular government post. It suits engineers who also hold a full-time MBA and want to work on the management side of a national power research body. The Management Associate-3 role also needs hands-on experience with power equipment testing.

Posts and Disciplines

• Management Associate-1 (P and C Division): open to any BE/BTech graduate with a full-time MBA in management, finance, operations, marketing or project management.
• Management Associate-2 (BD and CBSD Division): needs a BE/BTech in Electrical plus a full-time MBA, and focuses on business development and promotion of CPRI's test facilities.
• Management Associate-3 (CS and CD): needs a BE/BTech in Electrical plus a full-time MBA, along with working knowledge of short circuit, high voltage and energy meter testing.

Post-wise Duties

Management Associate-1

You will help prepare, appraise and track CPRI's capital projects and strategic initiatives. Expect to coordinate with CPRI units, the Ministry of Power and other government departments, build MIS reports, dashboards and presentations, and organise review meetings and workshops.

Management Associate-2

You will support business development and day-to-day technical operations. The job includes writing technical reports, newsletters, test facility booklets and brochures, arranging lab visits for dignitaries and corporate customers, and running CPRI's stalls at industry trade shows.

Management Associate-3

You will work around CPRI's testing services for short circuit, high voltage and energy meter products. The notification asks for at least four years of experience with products linked to such testing, so this post is meant for candidates who already know how equipment testing works.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Nature of post: Temporary position at CPRI, Bengaluru.
• Tenure: The first engagement is for one year. It can be extended by up to two more years depending on your performance.
• Consolidated pay: The monthly amount is all inclusive, so no separate allowances are listed.
• MBA mode: Only a full-time MBA or an equivalent specialisation from a recognised university counts.
