The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), an autonomous research body under the Ministry of AYUSH, has released Advertisement No. 04/2026 to fill 17 contractual posts for immediate project requirements and to build a panel for future needs. The posts span research (Bio-Statistics, Public Health), consulting (Sanskrit, Ayurveda), young professional (Statistics, Graphic Design) and retired-officer consultant roles (Vigilance, Accounts, Office Assistant). Selection is entirely through a walk-in interview — you do not need to apply online or offline in advance. Candidates with research experience in Ayurveda-related government projects are preferred. Who Can Apply?

Senior Research Fellow (Bio-Statistics) - Rs. 42,000+/month:

• Qualification: PG degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Bio-Statistics with Statistics as a subject, from a recognised institution.
• Desirable: Prior research experience in a project funded by the Ministry of Ayush, ICMR, CSIR, or DST, plus skills in scientific writing and knowledge of STATA/SPSS.

Senior Research Fellow (Public Health/Operational Research) - Rs. 42,000/month:

• Qualification: BAMS/BUMS/BHMS/BSMS/BYNS with a Master's in Public Health/PG Diploma in Public Health Administration, OR a Postgraduate in Operational Research.
• Desirable: Computer knowledge (MS Office) and experience in government social sector schemes.

Senior Consultant (Sanskrit) - Rs. 90,000/month:

• Qualification: Acharya or equivalent PG degree in Sanskrit with more than 10 years of relevant work experience in critical appraisal, editing, and publication of literary works.
• Desirable: Ph.D in Sanskrit with experience in manuscriptology, conservation, and digitalisation of ancient manuscripts.

Senior Consultant (Ayurveda) - Rs. 90,000/month:

• Qualification: MD/MS (Ayurveda) with more than 10 years of work experience.
• Desirable: Knowledge of Sanskrit and experience editing classical Ayurvedic texts.

Consultant (Ayurveda) - Rs. 60,000/month:

• Qualification: MD/MS (Ayurveda) with minimum 5 years experience, OR BAMS with minimum 7 years experience.

Young Professional (Statistics) - Rs. 50,000/month:

• Qualification: Graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Bio-Statistics from a recognised institution.

Young Professional (Graphic Designer) - Rs. 50,000/month:

• Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Design; you must clear a hands-on Digital Art test.
• Desirable: Specialisation in typography and book design for Ayurveda/Sanskrit publications, plus knowledge of Adobe InDesign, CorelDraw, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

Consultant (Vigilance/Accounts) - Retired officers:

• Qualification: Retired Section Officer/Under Secretary/Deputy Secretary or equivalent (Pay Level 8-12) from a Central/State Government department, well versed in Central Secretariat procedures for drafting, noting, and establishment matters.

Age Limit

• SRF (Bio-Statistics) & SRF (Public Health): Not exceeding 35 years as on the interview date.
• Consultant (Ayurveda): Not exceeding 45 years.
• Senior Consultant (Sanskrit/Ayurveda): Not exceeding 50 years.
• Young Professional (Statistics/Graphic Designer): Not exceeding 40 years.
• Consultant (Vigilance/Accounts) & Office Assistant (retired): Maximum age should not exceed 64 years.

Salary

• Senior Consultant (Sanskrit/Ayurveda): Rs. 90,000 per month, consolidated.
• Consultant (Ayurveda): Rs. 60,000 per month, consolidated.
• Young Professional (Statistics/Graphic Designer): Rs. 50,000 per month, consolidated.
• SRF (Public Health/Operational Research): Rs. 42,000 per month, plus admissible HRA.
• Consultant (Vigilance/Accounts) - Retired: Basic pay at the time of retirement, minus pension, plus admissible transport allowance.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

CCRAS will select candidates purely through a walk-in interview — there is no written test.
