The position is in the Department of Nonlinear Dynamics, School of Physics, working under Dr. M. Senthilvelan, CSIR Emeritus Scientist. Who Can Apply?

The university has listed three alternate qualification routes for this SRF post — you only need to meet one of them:

• Qualification (Option 1): M.Sc, B.E., B.Tech, B.VSc, B.Pharm or equivalent degree, with at least 2 years of post-qualification research experience backed by published papers in standard refereed journals.
• Qualification (Option 2): M.E./M.Tech or equivalent degree in Engineering/Technology.
• Qualification (Option 3): MBBS or BDS with 1 year internship, or M.VSc/M.Pharm or equivalent.
• Desirable: 2 years of research experience in Theoretical Physics with sound computational skills.

Age Limit

• The upper age limit for SRF is 32 years.
• Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years relaxation for SC/ST/OBC, women, and physically handicapped candidates.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a fellowship of Rs. 42,000 per month plus HRA as per University norms.

Selection Process

1. Bio-data Screening: The Principal Investigator will screen bio-data submissions.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. No TA/DA is permissible for attending the interview.

Remember that this SRF position is purely on a contractual basis for the duration of the project (3 years), and not a permanent university appointment.
