Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) is forming a panel for Senior Resident and Tutor tenure posts under the Health Department, Government of Bihar. Post-wise Duties

Medical Senior Resident and Tutor

You will provide specialty clinical care, participate in ward or departmental work and support postgraduate or undergraduate teaching. The exact balance of service, procedures, emergency duty, seminars and academic records depends on the allotted department and institution.

Dental Senior Resident and Tutor

You will handle specialty dental care and teaching support within the assigned dental college or hospital. Your work may include clinics, demonstrations, case discussions, procedure records and supervision appropriate to the department.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: These are three-year tenure posts, not open-ended regular appointments. A doctor who has already completed the full Senior Resident or Tutor tenure in the same subject cannot take that subject again.
• Pay treatment: New tenure appointees receive the notified state pay level, while serving Bihar Health Service doctors continue on their existing salary with admissible additions.
• Panel composition: The rules distribute consideration among Bihar Health Service members, doctors trained through the state residency scheme and doctors holding recognised postgraduate qualifications from outside Bihar.
• Recognition: Medical or dental qualifications and the granting institution must meet the applicable NMC, MCI or DCI requirements.
• Reservation: Bihar reservation benefits need current certificates and Bihar residence. Applicants who cannot support a claimed category may be treated as unreserved.
• Service record: Doctors facing pending departmental action, a criminal case, suspension or long unauthorised absence are not considered under the stated conditions.
• No travel payment: The board does not pay TA or DA for counselling or document verification.
