About This Job

AIIMS Jodhpur Project Nurse II Recruitment 2026: Overview

All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jodhpur is engaging a Project Nurse II in its Department of Microbiology. The position supports an ICMR-funded project that is expanding antimicrobial-resistance research and surveillance in secondary-level hospitals. Your nursing experience will sit at the centre of infection-control teaching, sample-collection guidance and hospital communication, linking the AIIMS research team with staff working in participating facilities.

This is not a ward-only nursing assignment. You will help hospital teams understand infection-control practices, maintain daily information on the ICMR portal and coordinate workshops and awareness activities. The role suits a nurse who can explain clinical procedures clearly and work confidently with routine office software, because both teaching and accurate reporting are part of the project.

The project also needs regular coordination with microbiology technical staff. You will help turn hospital activity into usable surveillance data while keeping communication open with secondary-care centres. Prior work in an ICMR project is preferred, but the notice treats it as an advantage rather than an essential condition.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Project tenure: The initial engagement is for six months and remains co-terminus with the research project.
  • Temporary status: The contract gives no right to regular employment at AIIMS Jodhpur or placement in another project.
  • Qualification standard: Educational, professional and technical credentials must be full-time and issued by a recognised board or university.
  • Experience counting: Where experience is considered, it must have been gained after the minimum qualifying credential.
  • Current government staff: Anyone working in a government office or public-sector undertaking must produce a No Objection Certificate at the interview.
  • Travel costs: No TA or DA will be paid for appearing in the interview.
  • Consolidated engagement: The project pay is consolidated, with no benefits beyond the stated house-rent component.
  • Application completeness: The prescribed form must include every essential qualification and experience certificate.
  • Conduct: Canvassing in any form will disqualify the applicant.
  • Assessment date: Age, education and experience are assessed against the notified closing date; research-project service may support age concession on a case-by-case basis.

Application Submission Notes

This recruitment is through a walk-in interview at AIIMS Jodhpur, not an online portal. Bring the prescribed form and supporting records, and arrive within the notification's morning reporting period; the desk will not accept candidates after reporting closes.

Government and public-sector employees should keep the original No Objection Certificate with their other papers. Check that the application includes all essential credentials before travelling, because the institute can treat an incomplete set as invalid.
