About This Job
Apply for Research Associate-I vacancy in AIIMS Delhi. PhD in Life Sciences eligible. Last date: 28 Aug 2026. Apply by email.
AIIMS Delhi Research Associate-I Recruitment 2026: Overview
All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is recruiting a Research Associate-I for a Department of Biotechnology-funded project in its Department of Onco-Haematopathology. The work sits within a multiple-myeloma research programme that connects genomic biomarkers, targeted treatment research and less-invasive ways of monitoring how patients respond. This is a project-linked research role rather than a regular institute appointment.
The project gives the selected researcher a place in a translational cancer-research setting, where laboratory findings are studied with a view to improving clinical understanding. Its focus brings together genomics, biomarker work and response monitoring, so the role is likely to suit someone comfortable working across molecular research and carefully maintained study records. Project code BT-2243 identifies this particular DBT assignment and should be used when checking any later notice from the institute.
The hiring department is based at AIIMS New Delhi in Ansari Nagar. You would join a specialist unit dealing with blood and cancer pathology, with the project centred on multiple myeloma. The advertisement names experience with genomics and next-generation sequencing as useful for the role, which signals the technical direction of the laboratory work without making it a separate essential condition.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Project period: The DBT project is scheduled from 2026 to 2029. The notice does not separately promise that the appointment will continue for the entire project period.
- Project status: The position is tied to externally funded research and should not be read as a permanent AIIMS cadre post.
- Interview travel: AIIMS states that no TA or DA will be paid to attend the interview.
- Communication: Only people shortlisted by the department will receive an interview call, so keep the email address and phone details in your CV active.
- Notice reference: Use BT-2243 when matching this vacancy with later departmental communication.
Application Submission Notes
Email your CV and supporting papers as one combined PDF to researchoncohaematopathology@gmail.com. Put the name of the post in the email subject so the department can identify your application correctly. The notice does not ask you to use an online form or send a printed copy.
Before sending, make sure the combined file opens properly and clearly shows your academic and research record. The application must reach the department by the stated closing time; a late email may not be considered even if it was prepared earlier.
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory research related to multiple myeloma and genomic biomarkers
- Prepare biological samples and support genomics or next-generation sequencing workflows
- Record experimental methods, observations and results accurately
- Analyse research data and discuss findings with the project team
- Maintain research files, sample logs and laboratory documentation
- Prepare technical summaries, presentations and project progress material
- Follow biosafety, research ethics and laboratory quality procedures
