Yantra India Limited (YIL) is a Schedule A Defence Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence. This recruitment is for an Assistant Executive (Finance & Accounts) on a full-time fixed-term contract basis at YIL Headquarters, Nagpur. The single post is reserved for OBC as a backlog vacancy, so applicants must check the category condition carefully before applying.
The engagement is initially for 2 years. If YIL needs the role and the performance is satisfactory, it may be extended yearly up to a maximum total period of 4 years. This is a contractual role and does not give any right to regular employment in YIL.

- Finance areas: You should know financial management, Indian Accounting Standards, accounting, audit, cost and budgetary control, working capital management, taxation, treasury management, tender evaluation and contract vetting.
- Computer work: You should be comfortable working in a computerised environment.
- Tally: The notification specifically asks for working knowledge of Tally.
This is a practical accounts role, not only a clerical finance post. YIL uses systems such as Informix, Unix-based software, MySQL, FoxPro, PHP reports and Tally for different accounting and reporting activities. If you have handled vouchers, inventory accounting, financial statements, taxation or audit coordination, mention that experience clearly in the form.
Age Limit
- Maximum age: 40 years
- Age will be counted as on 1 June 2026.
- The post is reserved for OBC backlog; applicants should attach a valid caste certificate.
Salary
- First and second year: Rs. 45,000 per month fixed consolidated salary
- Third and fourth year: Rs. 55,000 per month fixed consolidated salary, if the contract is extended
- Accommodation: Company accommodation may be provided if available, with charges deducted as per rules.
- HRA: No HRA will be payable under any circumstances.
- Tour expenses: Hotel charges and local conveyance during official tour will be equivalent to Level-07 officers of YIL.
The contract can end with notice from either side as per the terms in the advertisement. Leave is limited to 1.5 days for each completed month of service, and no work no pay will apply if leave goes beyond the allowed limit. The selected person must maintain confidentiality and integrity while handling YIL financial data.
Selection Process

Responsibilities
- Assist senior executives with finance and accounts work at YIL HQ
- Prepare and consolidate books of accounts, reports and returns
- Check accounting entries for receipts, payments, expenses, revenue and sales
- Coordinate with YIL units for accounting discrepancies and reconciliation
- Support monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual financial statements under Ind AS
- Assist auditors and help complete statutory or other audits on time
- Prepare memos, checklists and financial data for ministry portals or dashboards
- Handle income tax, GST, professional tax and other finance-related assignments
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
HSSC with minimum 60% marks and passed Intermediate Chartered Accountancy or Intermediate Cost & Management Accountancy exam
Preferred Qualification
Working knowledge of Tally and experience in finance, accounts, audit, taxation, treasury, tender evaluation and contract vetting
