Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), a Coal India Limited subsidiary, is engaging a Full-Time Advisor (Excavation) at its headquarters in Nagpur. This is a senior contractual assignment for a retired excavation executive who can guide management on heavy earth-moving machinery, mine mechanisation and procurement policy. The role is strategic as well as operational: your advice will connect corporate planning with equipment performance at opencast mines, workshops and the HEMM Training Institute. The notice specifically seeks leadership experience at CIL, a subsidiary, another public-sector undertaking or a government autonomous organisation.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Initial tenure: The contract starts for one year and may be extended when WCL still needs the services and finds your performance satisfactory under CIL's advisor policy.
• Retirement status: The opening is meant for retired senior executives. People who opted for voluntary retirement are not considered under this notice.
• Duty station: You will be based at WCL headquarters in Nagpur and report to the Director (Technical/Operation). The work may also require inputs for mines, workshops, Tadali Central Workshop and the training institute at Durgapur.
• Medical fitness: Engagement depends on certification by the company's medical officer. The advisor must also hold the applicable vigilance, departmental and safety clearances.
• Exclusive engagement: You cannot accept another full-time advisory or administrative appointment during this contract with CIL and its subsidiaries.
• Confidentiality: Company and third-party records handled during the assignment must remain confidential during and after the contract. All material in your possession must be returned to the department when you leave.
• Performance review: Management will assess the value added against the notified work areas before considering an extension. The engagement may end with one month's notice or the equivalent consolidated pay from either side.
• Joining: The chosen advisor is expected to join promptly after the offer; a delay beyond the permitted period can cause the offer to be withdrawn.
• Travel for selection: WCL will not pay TA or other travel costs for attending the interview or selection process.
