Post-wise Duties

Mechanical Assistant Engineer

You will help keep refinery equipment available and reliable by coordinating inspection, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting. You may also review technical records, support shutdown work and work with operations teams when equipment behaviour changes.

Electrical Assistant Engineer

You will support the safe operation of electrical distribution and plant equipment, investigate faults and coordinate maintenance. Shift teams may need you to respond quickly when a power or motor issue affects production.

Chemical Assistant Engineer

You will monitor process conditions and unit performance, study operating data and help resolve production or quality issues. The work can also involve process-safety follow-up and practical improvement projects with other engineering teams.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Training and probation: Selected engineers enter the E2 management grade under the company's training-cum-probation rules.
• Service bond: You must agree to serve MRPL for at least three years from joining, including the training-cum-probation period. The bond liability differs for general and reserved-category appointees.
• Posting and transfers: MRPL will choose the initial department and work location. You can later be transferred anywhere in India or abroad, within MRPL, an ONGC group company or another organisation according to business needs.
• Shift work: Depending on your section, you may need to work rotating shifts, including night duty.
