WCD Janjgir-Champa IT Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Office of the District Program Officer, Women & Child Development (WCD), Janjgir-Champa, Chhattisgarh has released a notification for 1 contractual IT Assistant post for the District-level Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) under the Government of India's Mission Shakti programme. Mission Shakti is an umbrella scheme for safety, protection, and empowerment of women. There is no written exam — selection is based on merit (marks + experience) and a walk-in interview or skill test. This is a short-term contract post initially for up to 2 years.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a Graduate degree in Computer Science or the IT field from a recognised university.
• Mandatory Skills: Good knowledge of computers, MS Office, and computer typing ability.
• Mandatory Experience: At least 3 years of experience in data management, process documentation, web-based and web-based reporting formats in government or semi-government organisations.
• Chhattisgarh Residency: CG domicile is not mandatory, but Chhattisgarh residents get 2 bonus marks in the merit evaluation.
• Marriage condition: Anyone who married before the prescribed minimum age is not eligible. Also, anyone who has married a person with a living spouse is not eligible.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years
• Maximum age: 45 years (as on 01.01.2026)
• Age Relaxation: Chhattisgarh state residents may get relaxation as per state government orders, but the overall maximum age including all relaxations is 50 years.
• Age verification will be based on 10th class marksheet or birth certificate.

Salary

• Fixed monthly salary: Rs. 20,900 per month (Pay Matrix Level 7, lump-sum contractual pay)
• Leave and other benefits are as per CG Civil Service (Contractual Appointment) Rules 2012.
• Travel allowance will be paid if the employee is sent for training or official travel after approval.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is done in two parts — merit evaluation and a walk-in interview/skill test:

1. Merit Evaluation (80 marks total):
   • Academic score: Up to 60 marks (weightage on percentage in minimum required qualification)
   • Experience: 2 marks per extra year of experience beyond the minimum, up to 18 marks
   • Chhattisgarh resident bonus: 2 marks
2. Walk-in Interview / Skill Test: 20 marks

If two candidates have equal total marks, the older candidate gets preference. Final merit = Academic score + Experience score + CG Bonus + Interview/Skill Test (total 100 marks).

• Coordinate with state-level SHEW hub for data sharing and reporting requirements
• Maintain records of beneficiaries and scheme activities at the DHEW centre
