VNIT Nagpur is hiring one Project Associate (Level I or II) for a DST-funded research project in the Department of Chemical Engineering. Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur Project Associate Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

VNIT Nagpur has announced a walk-in interview for one Project Associate - I / II post in the Department of Chemical Engineering. The position supports a DST-funded project titled "Millet Biorefinery for Food, Feed, Fodder, Fertilizer, and Fuel: Design to Demonstration" (Ref. DST/SHRI/MP/2023/49(C)), which runs for three years overall though this specific engagement is for six months. No written exam is required — you are selected directly through the walk-in interview. Candidates with a Food Technology degree and prior experience at a national-level research institute on millet-related work are preferred.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: M.Tech / M.E. in Chemical Engineering, Chemical Technology, or Food Technology Engineering. At least one degree must be in Food Technology.
• Preferred Knowledge: Basic understanding of food processing, fermentation and enzymes, and millet processing.
• Preferred Experience: Candidates with a degree from and work experience at a national-level institute on millet-related research are preferred.

Salary

• Project Associate - I: Rs. 31,000 per month (fixed consolidated) plus HRA as per Institute norms.
• Project Associate - II: Rs. 35,000 per month (fixed consolidated) plus HRA as per Institute norms.
