University of Kerala Guest Lecturer (English) Recruitment 2026

The University of Kerala has invited applications from eligible candidates for inclusion in a panel of Guest Lecturers (on hourly basis) at the Institute of English. Selection is purely interview-based — there is no written exam, no application fee, and the application process is entirely through email. The panel will be used to fill teaching hours at the Institute of English on an as-needed basis. This is a good opportunity for PhD holders, NET-qualified candidates, and Assistant Professor aspirants in English Literature and Language to gain teaching experience at one of Kerala's oldest and most respected universities.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must meet the eligibility prescribed by UGC Regulation 2018 for the appointment of Assistant Professors. This means a Master's Degree in English with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognised university, along with UGC NET / SLET / SET qualification or a PhD in English as per UGC norms.
• Age: The age limit follows UGC Regulation 2018 norms for Assistant Professors.
• Eligibility Certificate: If you completed your Master's Degree from a university other than University of Kerala, you must produce an Eligibility Certificate issued by the University of Kerala at the time of interview.

Salary

• Engagement is on an hourly basis as per the rates prescribed by the University of Kerala for Guest Lecturers.
• This is a panel-based engagement — you will be paid for the actual teaching hours assigned.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is purely based on:
