Who Can Apply?
For Vehicle Driver (UKSLSA, Nainital — 1 post):
- Qualification: You must have passed Class 8 from a recognised institution.

For Vehicle Driver (All Other Departments — 69 posts):

Age Limit
- Vehicle Driver (UKSLSA, Nainital) & Enforcement Driver: 18 to 42 years as on 01 July 2026. You should be born between 02 July 1984 and 01 July 2008.
- Vehicle Driver (All other departments): 21 to 42 years as on 01 July 2026. You should be born between 02 July 1984 and 01 July 2005.
- Age Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (Uttarakhand): Up to 5 years relaxation in upper age limit.
- Uttarakhand Domicile (all categories): Upper age limit relaxed by 10 years.
- Ex-Servicemen (Uttarakhand): Relaxation as per actual military service + 3 years additional.
- Freedom Fighters' Dependents: Up to 5 years relaxation.
Salary
- Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month under Pay Level-03.

Selection Process
The selection will be done in 3 stages:
- Written Exam (25 marks): 25 MCQ questions on vehicle driving knowledge and general knowledge. You will get 30 minutes to complete it. Each question carries 1 mark. Negative marking: 1/4th mark deducted for each wrong answer. Minimum qualifying marks: 45% for General/OBC, 35% for SC/ST. The exam can be held offline (OMR-based) or online.
- Driving Test (75 marks): Candidates who pass the written exam will be called for a practical driving test. 6 times the number of vacancies will be called for this test. Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for all categories (Unreserved, SC, ST, OBC, EWS).
- Document Verification: Final merit list is prepared based on combined marks of written exam and driving test.
