Who Can Apply?

For Ex-ITI Trade Apprentice:

  • Mate (Mines): You need to have passed 10th/Matriculation exam.
  • Fitter, Electrician, Welder, Turner/Machinist, Mech. Diesel, Carpenter, Plumber: ITI certificate in the relevant trade (NCVT).

For Technician Apprentice:

  • You need a Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline (Mining, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical).

For Graduate Apprentice:

  • Engineering disciplines: B.E./B.Tech in Mining, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical.
  • Administration/Purchase: B.A. or BBA degree.
  • Finance: B.Com degree. Preference to candidates currently pursuing CMA Intermediate course.

Important Condition:

  • If you have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in any government, public sector, or private organisation, you are NOT eligible to apply.
  • You must have all mark sheets and certificates available — candidates awaiting results are not eligible.

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 18 years
  • Maximum age: 25 years as on 09 May 2026
  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/PwBD and other applicable categories will get relaxation as per Government of India guidelines.

Stipend

  • Stipend will be paid as prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Apprenticeship Rules 1992/2019/2025 (as amended).
  • No TA/DA or accommodation will be provided for certificate verification or travel to the training site.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is completely merit-based:

  1. Merit List: A provisional merit list will be prepared based on the percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying course (10th/ITI/Diploma/Graduation).
  2. Document Verification: Physical verification of original documents will be done at the time of joining.

Note: Preference will be given to (1) Land Displaced Person (LDP) category candidates, (2) local candidates within 5 km radius of Tummalapalle unit (Project Affected Families), and (3) Wards of UCIL employees.

  2. For Technician (Diploma) and Graduate Apprentices: Go to the NATS portal at nats.education.gov.in.
  3. Click on the Registration tab and create your profile. A confirmation email will be sent to activate your account.
  4. After activation, log in and complete your profile.
  5. Click on Apprenticeship Opportunities, select the trade you want, and choose Uranium Corporation of India Limited, Tummalapalle, Andhra Pradesh as your unit.
  6. Upload all required documents (mark sheets, certificates, ID proof, etc.).
  7. Submit your application before 9 May 2026.

  • Learn and perform tasks related to the designated trade under the supervision of qualified staff
  • Follow all safety rules and protocols applicable at UCIL's mining and processing unit

  • Assist senior technicians or engineers with day-to-day operational activities
  • Complete training modules and assessments as required under the Apprenticeship Programme
  • Report attendance and submit periodic training progress reports
  • Handle assigned tasks responsibly and comply with company conduct rules
