Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University (TNJFU) Young Professional II Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Department of Fish Pathology and Health Management at Dr. MGR Fisheries College and Research Institute, Thalainayeru, has opened applications for 1 Young Professional II post. This is a temporary, project-based role under the US FDA (JIFSAN) Scheme for the project "Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS) of Shrimp and Environment samples - Phase II". Selection is through a personal interview only conducted in online mode, so there is no written exam. This is a good fit for science postgraduates who want hands-on research experience in molecular biology and genomics.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You must have an M.F.Sc or M.Sc in Aquatic Animal Health, Aquaculture, Nutrition, Microbiology, or Biotechnology.
  • Citizenship: Only Indian citizens can apply.
  • You must send a Certificate or Provisional Certificate for both your graduation and post-graduation, or your application will be rejected.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • A strong background in molecular biology and microbiology, with hands-on experience in PCR and metagenomic DNA extraction and processing.

  • You will get a fixed pay of Rs. 42,000 per month (consolidated).
  • No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or for joining the post.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based on:

  1. Personal Interview (Online mode): Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an online interview by email.
  2. Document Verification: You must produce all original documents at the time of interview.

The Principal Investigator may shortlist candidates based on desirable qualifications, academic record, and relevant experience. Preference will be given to candidates with the essential qualification and experience.
