Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) is a grant-in-aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, and is one of the country's leading cancer treatment and research centres. TMC has invited applications for 2 posts in the Department of General Medicine at Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai. The appointment runs up to 31 July 2027. MBBS candidates with 2 years of relevant experience are also eligible and will be considered for the Junior Resident (JR) post at a lower consolidated pay, while candidates with a postgraduate degree are considered for the Senior Resident post at a higher pay. Selection is entirely through a walk-in interview — no written exam is required, so you can join much faster than a typical government recruitment process.

Who Can Apply?

For Senior Resident (MD/DNB) - Rs. 1,33,623/month:

• You need an MD or DNB in Medicine, or a DNB in Family Medicine.

For Junior Resident (MBBS) - Rs. 1,17,747/month:

• You need an MBBS degree along with 2 years of experience in General Medicine, counted after you completed your MBBS.

You must be an Indian National to apply for either post.

Age Limit

• You should be up to 40 years old.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates.

Salary

• MD/DNB holders (Senior Resident) get a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,33,623 per month (Gross Pay).
• MBBS candidates (Junior Resident post) get a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 1,17,747 per month (Gross Pay).
• This is a fixed, consolidated pay rather than a pay-scale with increments — a common structure for one-year resident positions at TMC.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through a single stage:

1. Walk-in Interview: Report directly with your documents to the venue — there is no written test. You will be assessed on your qualification, biodata and experience certificates on the spot.

1. Prepare a recent passport-size photograph and your biodata in advance.
2. Attach attested copies of all your qualification and experience certificates to your biodata.
3. Report to the Head of the Department, Dept. of General Medicine, Main Building, 1st Floor, Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai – 400012.
4. Visit between Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, any day from 6 August 2026 onwards till the post is filled.
