Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 38 years old as on 02 September 2025 (Open category).
• Age Relaxation: Backward class, EWS, orphan and sports-quota candidates can apply up to 43 years.

• Ex-servicemen: get age relaxation equal to their length of armed forces service plus 3 years.

Salary

• Fireman: Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900 per month (Pay Level S-5)
• Driver-Operator: Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month (Pay Level S-7)
• Assistant Fire Station Officer / Pollution Inspector: Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month (Pay Level S-10)
• Junior Engineer-2: Rs. 38,600 to Rs. 1,22,800 per month (Pay Level S-14)
• Junior Engineer-1 (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical): Rs. 41,800 to Rs. 1,32,300 per month (Pay Level S-15)
• You will also get DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per Maharashtra government rules.

Physical Standards

For Assistant Fire Station Officer and Driver-Operator (Male):

• Height: minimum 165 cm
• Chest: 81 cm, expandable to 86 cm
• Weight: minimum 50 kg
• Vision: 6/6 in both eyes without glasses, with normal colour vision (Ishihara chart)

For Female Candidates:

• Height: minimum 157 cm
• Weight: minimum 45 kg
• Chest measurement is not applicable for women candidates.

• Backward category & Orphan candidates: Rs. 900
• Ex-servicemen and disabled ex-servicemen: No fee
• Payment mode: Online only. Fee is non-refundable, even if the recruitment is cancelled.

Selection Process

Selection is done purely on merit — there is no interview for these posts (as per Maharashtra Government Resolution dated 4 May 2022):

1. Online Written Exam: Computer-based test conducted at exam centres notified on your admit card.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates (based on a category-wise cut-off ratio) must appear with original certificates.

You need at least 50% marks (Open category) or 45% marks (Backward category) to be included in the merit list. Answer sheets are not re-checked after the exam.
