Who Can Apply?

For Professor Posts (Level 14 - Rs. 1,44,200/month):

• You need a recognized basic veterinary qualification included in Schedule I/II of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, and must be registered with a State Veterinary Council or the Veterinary Council of India.
• Plus, either a Ph.D. degree with 10 research papers in peer-reviewed/NAAS-rated/UGC-listed journals and an API score of 120, along with 10 years of teaching/research experience as Assistant/Associate Professor — or an outstanding professional record with a Ph.D. and 10 years of significant contribution to the field from industry or another institution.

For Associate Professor Posts (Level 13A - Rs. 1,31,400/month):

• You need the same recognized basic veterinary qualification registered with a State/Veterinary Council, a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied discipline, and a Master's Degree with at least 55% marks.
• You also need a minimum of 8 years of teaching or research experience equivalent to Assistant Professor level (in a university, college, accredited research institution or industry), with 7 publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 75.

Age Limit

• There is no upper age limit for both Professor and Associate Professor posts under this self-finance recruitment.

Salary

• Professor: entry pay of Rs. 1,44,200 per month at Academic Level 14.
• Associate Professor: entry pay of Rs. 1,31,400 per month at Academic Level 13A.
• You will also get other allowances as admissible under University Order No. 35/2015/1780/67 dated 14 December 2015, and applicable government rules.

Selection Process

Your selection happens in the following stages:

1. Academic/Research Score Assessment: Your research papers, publications, patents and e-content development are scored as per the university's Table-2 methodology for shortlisting. For example, a research paper in a peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journal earns you 8 marks, a book authored with an international publisher earns 12 marks, and developing e-content in 4 quadrants for a full course earns 12 marks.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are interviewed by the selection committee, which makes the final decision.
