SVPUAT, Meerut has released Advertisement No. III/2026 inviting applications for 15 backlog and other teaching posts spread across six colleges under the university. The posts include Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor roles in disciplines ranging from Horticulture and Dairy Technology to Civil Engineering, Plant Biotechnology and Veterinary Sciences. Most of these are backlog vacancies reserved for SC, OBC and PWD candidates, making this a good opportunity if you belong to these categories and meet the eligibility. Out of the 15 posts, the category split is 6 UR, 5 OBC and 4 SC. Ten of the fifteen posts are marked as backlog vacancies for SC, OBC and PWD candidates.

Who Can Apply?

For Professor Posts (Level 14 - Rs. 1,44,200/month):

• You need a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied discipline with at least 10 research papers published in peer-reviewed, NAAS-rated or UGC-listed journals and a total API score of 120, plus a minimum of 10 years of teaching or research experience as Assistant/Associate Professor.
• Alternatively, an outstanding professional with a Ph.D. and 10 years of significant contribution to the field (from industry or other institutions) can also apply.
• For the five Veterinary Professor posts, you also need a recognized basic veterinary qualification registered with a State Veterinary Council or the Veterinary Council of India.

For Associate Professor Posts (Level 13A - Rs. 1,31,400/month):

• You need a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied discipline, a Master's degree with at least 55% marks, a minimum of 8 years of teaching/research experience, 7 publications in peer-reviewed journals, and a research score of 75.
• For the Civil Engineering Associate Professor post, a Ph.D. with First Class at Bachelor's or Master's level, 6 research publications, and 8 years of experience (2 years post-Ph.D.) is required.

For Assistant Professor - Veterinary Biochemistry (Level 10 - Rs. 57,700/month):

• You need a recognized veterinary qualification registered with a State/Veterinary Council, along with a Master's degree (55% marks) qualified with NET/SLET/SET, or a Ph.D. as per UGC norms.

Age Limit

• There is no upper age limit for Professor and Associate Professor posts.
• For the Assistant Professor post, you should not be older than 40 years, with relaxation of 5 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST candidates and UP State Government employees, and 15 years for PWD candidates.

Salary

• Professor: entry pay of Rs. 1,44,200 per month at Academic Level 14.
• Associate Professor: entry pay of Rs. 1,31,400 per month at Academic Level 13A.
• Assistant Professor: entry pay of Rs. 57,700 per month at Academic Level 10.
• You will also get allowances as per university and UP government rules.

Application Fee

• General/OBC/UR: Rs. 1,500 (nonrefundable)
• SC/ST/PWD: Rs. 750 (nonrefundable)
• You need to pay the fee online while filling the application form. A separate fee is required for each post if you apply for more than one.

Selection Process

Your selection happens through the following stages:

1. Academic/Research Score Assessment: Your publications, projects, patents and other academic achievements are scored as per Table-2/Table-3A criteria for shortlisting.
2. Teaching Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates take a teaching skill test.
3. Interview: Final selection is based only on your performance in the teaching skill test and interview, not the academic score.

2. Click on "View Advertisement" to read Advertisement No. III/2026 carefully, then click "Apply" — you will be redirected to the recruitment portal www.recruitmentsvpuat.in.
3. Register yourself, then log in and fill in your personal, academic, teaching/experience, publication and award details, along with your self-assessed score card.
4. Preview and edit your form if needed, then pay the application fee online.
5. Submit the form and take a printout — no changes are allowed after payment.
6. Send the printed application with your self-assessed score card and all supporting documents (age proof, qualification, publications, category certificate, experience) by registered post to the Director, Administration & Monitoring, SVPUAT, Modipuram, Meerut - 250110 (U.P.) by 17 August 2026.

If you are already employed, you must upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your current employer — applications without an NOC will not be considered.
