Who Can Apply?

For Professor Posts (Level 14 - Rs. 1,44,200/month):

  • You need a Ph.D. degree in the relevant/allied discipline with at least 10 research papers published in peer-reviewed, NAAS-rated or UGC-listed journals and a total API score of 120, plus a minimum of 10 years of teaching or research experience as Assistant/Associate Professor.
  • Alternatively, an outstanding professional with a Ph.D. and 10 years of significant contribution to the field (from industry or other institutions) can also apply.
  • For the five Veterinary Professor posts, you also need a recognized basic veterinary qualification registered with a State Veterinary Council or the Veterinary Council of India.

For Associate Professor Posts (Level 13A - Rs. 1,31,400/month):

  • You need a Ph.D. degree in the concerned/allied discipline, a Master's degree with at least 55% marks, a minimum of 8 years of teaching/research experience, 7 publications in peer-reviewed journals, and a research score of 75.
  • For the Civil Engineering Associate Professor post, a Ph.D. with First Class at Bachelor's or Master's level, 6 research publications, and 8 years of experience (2 years post-Ph.D.) is required.

For Assistant Professor - Veterinary Biochemistry (Level 10 - Rs. 57,700/month):

  • You need a recognized veterinary qualification registered with a State/Veterinary Council, along with a Master's degree (55% marks) qualified with NET/SLET/SET, or a Ph.D. as per UGC norms.

Age Limit

  • There is no upper age limit for Professor and Associate Professor posts.
  • For the Assistant Professor post, you should not be older than 40 years, with relaxation of 5 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/SC/ST candidates and UP State Government employees, and 15 years for PWD candidates.

Salary

  • Professor: entry pay of Rs. 1,44,200 per month at Academic Level 14.
  • Associate Professor: entry pay of Rs. 1,31,400 per month at Academic Level 13A.
  • Assistant Professor: entry pay of Rs. 57,700 per month at Academic Level 10.
  • You will also get allowances as per university and UP government rules.

Application Fee

  • General/OBC/UR: Rs. 1,500 (nonrefundable)
  • SC/ST/PWD: Rs. 750 (nonrefundable)
  • You need to pay the fee online while filling the application form. A separate fee is required for each post if you apply for more than one.

Selection Process

Your selection happens through the following stages:

  1. Academic/Research Score Assessment: Your publications, projects, patents and other academic achievements are scored as per Table-2/Table-3A criteria for shortlisting.
  2. Teaching Skill Test: Shortlisted candidates take a teaching skill test.
  3. Interview: Final selection is based only on your performance in the teaching skill test and interview, not the academic score.

  6. Send the printed application with your self-assessed score card and all supporting documents (age proof, qualification, publications, category certificate, experience) by registered post to the Director, Administration & Monitoring, SVPUAT, Modipuram, Meerut - 250110 (U.P.) by 17 August 2026.

If you are already employed, you must upload a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your current employer — applications without an NOC will not be considered.
