Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) Market Intelligence and Research Analyst Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI), the Principal Financial Institution for the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) sector, has released Advertisement No. 04/2026-27 to engage Specialist Officers on a contractual basis. Under this notice, SIDBI is hiring 1 Market Intelligence and Research Analyst (MIRA) who will track macro, policy, and sectoral trends to identify opportunities aligned to SIDBI's MSME development mandate. The initial contract is for 3 years, extendable at the Bank's discretion by up to 2 more years, and either side can end it with 3 months' notice. As MIRA, you will turn macro, policy and sectoral signals into decision-support material for SIDBI's senior management and business lines, while building repeatable SOPs and an institutional knowledge base for market intelligence. This is a strong opportunity for research and strategy professionals from banks, NBFCs, DFIs, rating agencies, think tanks, or consulting firms to work at India's apex MSME financial institution, established in 1990 under an Act of Parliament.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: A graduate degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Commerce, Finance, Data Science, Public Policy or a related field from a recognised university/institute.
• Preferred: A postgraduate qualification such as MBA/PGDM (Strategy/Finance/Analytics), M.Stat, M.Sc. in Data/Analytics, MPP/MPA, or certifications like CFA, FRM, or data/BI certifications.
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in market intelligence, economic/sector research, strategy, consulting, policy research, analytics, or business research roles at banks, NBFCs, DFIs, rating agencies, think tanks, or consulting/analytics firms.
• Skills: You should be comfortable building insight briefs and leadership presentations, doing sector/market sizing and competitive benchmarking, and working with data tools like Excel, SQL, or BI to build dashboards and trackers.

Age Limit

• You should not be more than 35 years old as on 31 July 2026.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a Cost to Company (CTC) of around Rs. 20,00,000 per annum, based on your qualification, experience and overall suitability for the post.
• You will also get Group Insurance and other facilities, plus an annual increment and a performance-linked variable component.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

SIDBI will select MIRA candidates through these stages:

1. Preliminary Screening: SIDBI reviews all applications and shortlists eligible candidates based on qualification, experience and documents submitted.
2. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates appear for an online interview before the Selection Committee. Your final merit position depends only on your interview score.

Note: Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee an interview call — SIDBI's decision on shortlisting is final, and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard. If two candidates score the same cut-off marks, the older candidate ranks higher in the merit list.
