Who Can Apply?

PGT Physics / PGT Chemistry / PGT Biology (Pay Level 8 - Rs. 47,600/month):

• You need an Integrated Postgraduate degree from an NCTE-recognized institution in the subject with at least 50% marks, including the B.Ed component.
• OR a Master's Degree (50%+) plus a B.Ed Degree from an NCTE-recognized institution (50%+).
• OR a 3-year Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed course (50%+), or a 4-year integrated degree with a B.Ed component (50%+).
• You must be able to teach in both Hindi and English medium.

PGT English (Temporary, 179 days):

• Same qualification as PGT Physics/Chemistry/Biology above. The age limit is relaxed to 21-50 years for this post.

TGT English / TGT Hindi / TGT Maths / Art Master (Pay Level 7 - Rs. 44,900/month):

• You need a 4-year integrated degree with 50% marks including B.Ed, OR a Bachelor's/Honours Degree (50%+) with a separate B.Ed Degree (50%+).
• You must have passed CTET Paper-2 or an equivalent state TET.
• Art Master needs a Master's in Fine Art (Painting/Sketching) or a Graduate degree in Fine Art with a 4-year diploma, or 12th pass with a 5-7 year diploma in Fine Arts.

TGT Science (Pay Level 7 - Rs. 44,900/month):

• You need Graduation with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths (PCM), with Physics as your main subject in all three years.

Lower Division Clerk (Pay Level 2 - Rs. 19,900/month):

• You need to have passed Matriculation with a typing speed of at least 40 words per minute.
• Knowledge of shorthand is an added advantage. Graduates with computer knowledge and Ex-Servicemen from the Clerical trade will be preferred.

General Employees (Pay Level 1 - Rs. 18,000/month):

• You need to have passed Matriculation or an equivalent exam. Multi-skilled candidates with experience are preferred.

School Medical Officer (Contractual - Rs. 47,600/month):

• You need an MBBS Degree. You will be required to reside on campus and attend medical emergencies at all hours. Private practice is not allowed.

Nursing Sister (Contractual - Rs. 25,000/month):

• You need a Nursing Diploma or Degree with 5 years of experience at a reputed institution. Counselling experience is preferred.

Physical Training Instructor cum Matron - Female Candidates Only (Contractual - Rs. 25,000/month):

• You need a B.P.Ed (Bachelor of Physical Education) OR a 3-year graduation plus Diploma in Physical Education. Experience in a residential school is preferred.

Age Limit

• PGT Physics/Chemistry/Biology: 21 to 40 years as on 01 October 2026.
• PGT English (Temporary), School Medical Officer, PTI cum Matron: 21 to 50 years as on 01 October 2026.
• TGT posts and Art Master: 21 to 35 years as on 01 October 2026.
• Lower Division Clerk, General Employees, Nursing Sister: 18 to 50 years as on 01 October 2026.

Salary

• Regular PGT posts: Rs. 47,600 per month under Pay Level 8 of the 7th CPC.
• Regular TGT/Art Master posts: Rs. 44,900 per month under Pay Level 7.
• Lower Division Clerk: Rs. 19,900 per month under Pay Level 2.
• General Employees: Rs. 18,000 per month under Pay Level 1.
• PGT English (Temporary) and School Medical Officer (Contractual): consolidated salary of Rs. 47,600 per month.
• Nursing Sister and PTI cum Matron (Contractual): consolidated salary of Rs. 25,000 per month.
• Regular staff also get Free Messing with Cadets, rent-free accommodation, LTC, Pension under the New Pension Scheme, Gratuity, and subsidized education for two children.

Application Fee

• All Categories: Rs. 500 (Non-Refundable), payable by Demand Draft in favour of "Principal, Sainik School Balachadi", payable at Jamnagar.
• Applications without a Demand Draft will not be accepted.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Screening of Applications: Shortlisting is based on the documents you submit and whether you meet the qualification criteria.
2. Typing Test: Required for the Lower Division Clerk post to confirm the 40 WPM typing speed.
3. Selection Test/Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for the selection process on a date to be intimated later. No TA/DA is given for this test.
