Sainik School Amethi, Kauhar, Shahgarh, District Amethi (Uttar Pradesh), functioning under the aegis of the Ministry of Defence, has invited applications for 22 contractual positions across 15 different posts. The school needs teaching staff (PGTs and TGTs), support staff (Lab Assistants, Librarian), creative faculty (Art Master, Music Teacher), and medical staff (Medical Officer, Ward Boy). All posts are contractual for a maximum period of 12 months. Who Can Apply?

PGT (Maths & Chemistry) — Rs 75,208/month

• Qualification: Integrated Post Graduate Course from NCTE-recognized university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject including B.Ed. component
• OR Master's Degree with at least 50% in the concerned subject + B.Ed. with at least 50% marks
• OR Three years integrated B.Ed-M.Ed. from NCTE-recognized institution with at least 50% marks
• OR Four years integrated Degree with at least 50% marks from NCTE-recognized institution including B.Ed. component
• Proficiency in teaching in English medium is required

TGT (General Science, Maths, Hindi, Social Science, English) — Rs 70,942/month

• Qualification: Four years Integrated Degree Course from NCTE-recognized university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject including B.Ed. component
• OR Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject + B.Ed. with at least 50% marks
• CTET Paper-II conducted by CBSE is mandatory for all TGT posts
• Proficiency in teaching in English medium (Hindi as a subject for TGT Hindi)

Lab Assistant (Chemistry & Biology) — Rs 40,290/month

• Qualification: Intermediate Science or equivalent with the concerned subject from a recognized board
• Proficiency in teaching in English medium

Librarian — Rs 70,942/month

• Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Library Science or Library & Information Science from a recognized university with at least 50% marks
• Ability to converse fluently in English

Art Master — Rs 70,942/month

• Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Drawing and Painting/Sculpture/Graphic Art/Fine Arts from a recognized institution with at least 50% marks
• Drawing and Painting must have been studied as main subject in all years of graduation

Music Teacher — Rs 46,136/month

• Qualification: Senior Secondary/Higher Secondary/Intermediate (Class XII) with 50% marks from recognized board AND Bachelor's Degree in Music with at least 50% marks (Music as main subject in all years)
• Proficiency in teaching in English medium

Counsellor — Rs 40,000/month

• Qualification: Graduation/Post Graduation in Psychology
• OR Post Graduation in Child Development
• OR Graduation/Post Graduation with Diploma in Career Guidance and Counselling

Medical Officer — Rs 83,898/month

• Qualification: MBBS Degree from a recognized institution

Ward Boy — Rs 25,000/month

• Qualification: Matriculation (10th pass) or equivalent from a recognized board
• Desirable: Experience in handling students in residential school, knowledge of computers and typing, housekeeping experience. Preference to those with Degree/Diploma in Home Science or dietitian's course with basic medical knowledge including first aid. Must be physically fit.

Age Limit

• PGT (Maths & Chemistry): Between 21 and 40 years as on 02 May 2026
• TGT (All subjects), Librarian, Art Master, Music Teacher, Counsellor: Between 21 and 35 years as on 02 May 2026
• Medical Officer: Between 18 and 50 years as on 02 May 2026
• Ward Boy: Between 18 and 50 years as on 02 May 2026
• Lab Assistant (Chemistry & Biology): Between 21 and 35 years as on 02 May 2026

Salary

• Medical Officer: Rs 83,898 per month (consolidated, no other allowance)
• PGT (Maths & Chemistry): Rs 75,208 per month (consolidated, no other allowance)
• TGT (All subjects), Librarian, Art Master: Rs 70,942 per month (consolidated, no other allowance)
• Music Teacher: Rs 46,136 per month (consolidated, no other allowance)
• Lab Assistant (Chemistry & Biology): Rs 40,290 per month (consolidated, no other allowance)
• Counsellor: Rs 40,000 per month (consolidated, no other allowance)
• Ward Boy: Rs 25,000 per month (consolidated, no other allowance)
• Note: Contractual employees are not entitled to any perquisites except consolidated salary.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on your performance in these stages:

For PGTs, TGTs, Art Master, Librarian, Music Teacher, Lab Assistants & Counsellor:

1. Written Test (100 marks, 1 hour): General Knowledge (15 marks), General English (15 marks), Basic Maths (10 marks), Subject Test of appropriate level (60 marks)
2. Skill Test / Class Demonstration: Class demonstration on an appropriate topic with lesson plan and teaching aids, followed by an interview

For Medical Officer & Ward Boy:

1. Written Test (50 marks, 1 hour): General Knowledge (5 marks), General English (10 marks), Basic Maths (10 marks), Subject Test of appropriate level (25 marks)
2. Medical Officer: Interview
3. Ward Boy: Skill test including running, giving first aid, and other topics as decided by the Board of Officers

No TA/DA will be given for attending the selection tests. Call letters will be sent primarily by email.
