Ordnance Factory Badmal (OFBL), a unit of Munitions India Limited (MIL) under the Ministry of Defence, has invited offline applications for 6 Tenure Based Graduate/Diploma Project Engineer (Chemical) posts at Supervisory Level. The engagement is on contract basis for 1 year, which can be extended up to a maximum of 4 years based on factory requirements and your performance. There is no application fee for any category. This is a good opportunity for Chemical Engineering graduates and diploma holders who have completed their apprenticeship in Ordnance Factories or ammunition and explosives manufacturing units.

Note: This post is identified for PwBD candidates with disability of One Arm affected only. Other PwBD categories are not identified.

Who Can Apply?

You need one of the following educational qualifications:

• Qualification (Option 1): B.E / B.Tech / Diploma in Chemical Engineering
• Qualification (Option 2): B.Sc Graduate with Chemistry as one of the major subjects

Mandatory Requirement: You must have completed Apprenticeship in Chemical Trade as per the Apprenticeship Act 1961 in one of these:

• Ordnance Factories under Munitions India Limited, OR
• Factories involved in manufacturing/handling of ammunitions and explosives, OR
• Factories other than those manufacturing/handling ammunitions and explosives

Order of Preference for Selection:

1. 1st Preference: B.E/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering + Apprenticeship in ammunition/explosives manufacturing
2. 2nd Preference: Diploma in Chemical Engineering + Apprenticeship in ammunition/explosives manufacturing
3. 3rd Preference: B.Sc with Chemistry + Apprenticeship in ammunition/explosives manufacturing
4. 4th Preference: B.E/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering + Apprenticeship in Chemical trade (other than ammunition/explosives)
5. 5th Preference: Diploma in Chemical Engineering + Apprenticeship in Chemical trade (other than ammunition/explosives)

Preference is given to candidates with apprenticeship in ammunition and explosives manufacturing. Other apprenticeship backgrounds will be considered only if sufficient candidates from higher preferences are not available.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 30 years old as on the closing date of receipt of application.
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation (up to 33 years)

Salary

• 1st Year: Rs. 36,000 per month
• 2nd Year: Rs. 37,080 per month
• 3rd Year: Rs. 38,192 per month
• 4th Year: Rs. 39,338 per month
• Plus Dearness Allowance (DA) and House Rent Allowance (HRA) (where Company Quarter is not available)
• You will also be covered under EPF and Employees Compensation Act
• Leave benefits: 30 days Earned Leave per year + 1 day Casual Leave per completed month + Company Holidays

Selection Process

Selection will be based on Academic Merit (85%) + Personal Interview (15%). Here is the process:

1. Document Verification: Candidates qualifying in Degree/Diploma and having apprenticeship will be called for document verification based on merit (preference and category-wise). The cut-off percentage will be decided by OFBL.
2. Personal Interaction/Interview (15% weightage): Candidates found eligible after document verification will appear for the personal interview. Interview can be in English or Hindi.
3. Final Merit List: Prepared based on combined marks in Degree/Diploma (85% weightage) and Personal Interaction/Interview (15% weightage).

In case of a tie, preference is given to: (1) Ex-Graduate/Diploma Apprentice of Ordnance Factories under MIL, (2) Ex-Graduate/Diploma Apprentice of factories manufacturing ammunitions and explosives, (3) Higher marks in Graduation/Diploma exam, (4) Older candidate by date of birth.

3. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents.
4. Paste one passport-size photograph on the form and attach one extra photo (with name and date of birth on back).
