RVSKVV Research Associate, YP-II and Project Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 6 Posts

Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya (RVSKVV), Gwalior has released Advertisement No. DRS/BTC/2026-27/616 dated 26 May 2026. The notice covers three research projects on minor millets, soybean genome editing, and abiotic stress tolerance in wheat and pearl millet. The posts are purely temporary and contractual. Initial appointment will be for six months and may continue based on performance and project need, but the maximum duration will not go beyond three years. The university can increase or decrease the number of posts according to requirement.

Who Can Apply?

Young Professional-II Posts

• Minor millet project: You need M.Sc (Ag) Genetics and Plant Breeding / Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, or M.Sc Biotechnology, Botany, Plant Pathology, or Entomology.
• Wheat and pearl millet project: You need M.Sc (Ag) Genetics and Plant Breeding / Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, or M.Sc Botany, Physiology, Soil Science, or Agronomy.
• Desirable: Research experience in lab work, field work, transcriptomics, or genomics will be useful as per the project.

Research Associate Post

• Qualification: You need a Ph.D. (Ag) in Genetics and Plant Breeding, Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology, Botany, Soil Science, Horticulture, or Plant Pathology.
• Experience: You also need 2 years of experience in genome editing work in any crop species.
• Desirable: Computer work and bioinformatics knowledge will be preferred.

Project Assistant Posts

• Qualification: You need to have passed 12th.
• Desirable: Field work or lab work experience will be useful for these posts.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 21 years.
• Maximum age: 45 years.
• Age reference: The notice says age is counted as on the date of advertisement, dated 26 May 2026.

Salary

• Research Associate: Rs. 67,000 per month + 10% HRA.
• Young Professional-II: Rs. 42,000 per month.
• Project Assistant: Rs. 15,000 per month.

Selection Process

Selection will be through written/skill test and walk-in interview, depending on the requirement of the post.
