Madhabdev University, Narayanpur, is a State University established under the Assam Act No. XXXV of 2017. The university has released Advertisement Ref. No. MDU/24/Appt-Teaching/83/7373 dated 29 May 2026 for teaching posts. The earlier 2024 advertisement for these teaching posts has been cancelled, so applicants must submit a fresh typed application under this notice.

Who Can Apply?

• Minimum Qualification: You must meet the UGC norms for Professor, Associate Professor or Assistant Professor, as applicable to the post and department.
• Citizenship: The notice is open to Indian citizens.
• Multiple Posts: If you want to apply for more than one post, you need to send a separate application and separate fee for each post.
• Reserved Category: If you apply under a reserved category, attach the proper certificate from the competent authority.
• In-service Applicants: If you are already employed, send the application through proper channel and attach a No Objection Certificate from your appointing authority.

Documents and Conditions

• Self-attested documents: Attach certificates for age, educational qualification, other qualifications, experience and testimonials.
• Good conduct certificate: If you are not already an employee of Madhabdev University, attach a conduct certificate from the head of the last institution attended or served.
• Reserved category proof: Reserved category applications must include the proper certificate issued by the competent authority.
• Probation: The notice says the posts remain temporary until confirmation after at least one year of probation, which may be extended if needed.
• No TA/DA: The university will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview.

Salary

• Professor: Rs. 1,44,200 to Rs. 2,18,200 per month
• Associate Professor: Rs. 1,31,400 to Rs. 2,17,100 per month
• Assistant Professor: Rs. 57,700 to Rs. 1,82,400 per month
• Other allowances will apply as per university and government rules.

Application Fee

• General / OBC / MOBC / UR: Rs. 2,000
• SC / ST: Rs. 1,500
• Payment mode: Bank draft only, non-refundable.
• The bank draft should be in favour of Madhabdev University, Narayanpur, Lakhimpur, payable at State Bank of India, Narayanpur Branch.
• Applicants who earlier applied for the same Professor post under the cancelled 2024 advertisement need to submit a fresh application; the notice gives fee relief for those earlier Professor applicants.

Selection Process (No Written Exam Mentioned)

The university will shortlist applications through a Screening Committee before calling applicants for interview.

1. Application Scrutiny: The university will check qualification, experience, fee, certificates, category documents, NOC and the list of enclosures.
2. Shortlisting: Meeting the minimum criteria does not automatically mean an interview call; the Screening Committee decision will be final.
3. Interview: Shortlisted applicants will be called for interview in due course, and canvassing in any form can lead to disqualification.
4. Medical / Fitness Check: A selected person must produce a medical, physical and mental fitness certificate before joining.
5. Final Decision: The university can withdraw, cancel, fill or not fill any advertised post, and its decision on the recruitment will be final.
6. Late / Incomplete Forms: Applications received after the deadline or missing required information, fee or documents can be rejected, so check every enclosure before dispatch.
