RITES Limited, a Government of India Miniratna PSU and a leading multi-disciplinary engineering and consultancy organisation, has released advertisement numbers YP/59/26 and YP/60/26 for engagement of Individual Consultants on a CV-based assignment. The roles are open under two distinct domains - Used Water and Standards & Specifications - both linked to sewage, waste water and sludge management work. There is no written exam - selection is based on document scrutiny and a personal interview. Mid-career and senior professionals from civil and environmental engineering backgrounds can apply.

Vacancy Breakdown

• Individual Consultant: Used Water Expert (VC No. YP/59/26): 1 post
• Individual Consultant: Standard & Specification Expert (VC No. YP/60/26): 1 post

Place of Posting: Delhi NCR for both posts.

Tenure: 12 months (may be extended by 1 year at a time, with extension subject to performance review, capped at age 65 years).

Who Can Apply?

For Used Water Expert (Rs. 1,60,000 - 2,00,000)

• Qualification: B.E. / B.Tech / B.Sc in Civil / Environmental / Chemical / Public Health Engineering AND M.Tech / M.E. / M.Sc in Environmental / Public Health / Structural / Chemical / Sanitary / Water Resource Engineering
• Preference: Candidates holding a PhD will be given preference
• Experience: Minimum 8 years in Sewage / Waste Water Management / Sludge Management or related field

For Standard & Specification Expert (Rs. 1,80,000 - 2,00,000)

• Qualification: Same as above (B.E./B.Tech + M.Tech in relevant disciplines)
• Preference: PhD holders preferred
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in Standards and Specifications in sewage, wastewater, sludge management and solid waste management

Note: Training, internship, teaching, academic, fellowship or PhD research experience will not be counted as work experience.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 60 years (as on 12 June 2026)
• No extension of engagement will be given beyond 65 years

Salary

For Used Water Expert (YP/59/26)

• For 8 years experience: Rs. 1,60,000 per month
• For 10 years experience: Rs. 1,80,000 per month
• For 12 years experience: Rs. 2,00,000 per month

For Standard & Specification Expert (YP/60/26)

• For 10 years experience: Rs. 1,80,000 per month
• For 12 years experience: Rs. 2,00,000 per month

The Individual Consultant will be paid only for services rendered and will not be entitled to PF, ESI, Gratuity or any other statutory benefits. Leave is 1.5 days per completed month, with no accumulation beyond a calendar year. No TA/DA is payable for interview or joining.

Selection Process

Selection is by interview only. There is no written exam.

1. Online Application: Submit application form on the RITES Career portal.
2. Document Scrutiny: Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on verification of qualifications and experience certificates.
3. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be evaluated on technical skills, subject knowledge, experience, communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Client CV Approval: The engagement is for deployment at a RITES client site, so the final offer is subject to client approval of the candidate's CV.

Police verification will be done as per MHA instructions. A negative police verification will end the contract immediately.

• Handle technical advisory work on sewage, waste water and sludge management projects at the RITES client site
• Develop standards, specifications and design parameters for water and sanitation infrastructure
• Review project deliverables, drawings, design reports and tender documents prepared by RITES teams
• Coordinate with the RITES project team and the client on technical decisions and approvals
• Prepare technical notes, presentations and status updates as required by the client
• Maintain confidentiality of all project documents under the Indian Official Secrets Act, 1923
• Comply with RITES standards of conduct, anti-harassment policy and conflict-of-interest rules
