RITES Limited, a Navratna public sector company under the Ministry of Railways, is recruiting Deputy General Managers (DGMs) on a regular basis for specialist infrastructure work. The drive brings together long-span bridge design, railway alignment, geophysics and tunnel engineering within its consultancy operations. Posts and Disciplines

Post-wise Duties

DGM Design Engineer Long-span Bridges

You will contribute to detailed long-span bridge design, working with structural analysis and design models. The role covers bridge forms such as cable-stayed, suspension and extradosed structures, where the design work uses specialist engineering software.

DGM Railway Alignment Designer

You will work on railway alignment design for new routes and track expansion projects. The work may involve doubling, tripling or other multitracking schemes, with alignment tools supporting the design activity.

DGM Geophysicist

You will handle geophysical testing for bridges, tunnels and related projects. The notice identifies seismic refraction tomography, electrical resistivity tomography and multichannel analysis of surface waves among the testing methods relevant to this role.

DGM Tunnel Engineer

You will contribute to tunnel engineering within RITES infrastructure assignments. Your technical work follows the tunnel discipline and the needs of the assigned project.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Probation: Your initial probation lasts one year from joining. Confirmation depends on performance and the checks required by the company, and probation continues until a confirmation order is issued.
• Confirmation screening: You must clear the company’s screening test at the end of probation. If you do not qualify, RITES may extend probation and take further action under its policy.
• Posting liability: RITES can post you anywhere in India or abroad. The notice does not promise a particular office, city or project location.
• Outside applications: The company will not forward your application for an outside job until you complete two years of service.
