Who Can Apply?

  • Preference is given to candidates with experience in SAP HR module, HR Dashboard and MS-Excel.

Other Requirements

  • UR/EWS candidates (and SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD applying for unreserved posts) need a first class degree or minimum 60% marks.
  • Reserved category candidates applying for reserved posts need at least 50% marks.
  • You must submit a certificate from your institute clearly showing your HR specialisation — a self-declaration is not enough.

Age Limit

  • Maximum age: 32 years (as on 22 July 2026)
  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST 5 years, OBC-NCL 3 years, J&K Domicile 5 years, PwBD 10 years (over and above category relaxation)
  • RITES regular/contract employees get 5 years extra age relaxation

Salary

  • Pay scale: Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 1,40,000 per month (IDA pay scale)
  • You will also get DA, HRA / lease accommodation, Performance Related Pay, medical facilities and PF
  • Other benefits include Gratuity, Group Insurance and Post Retirement Medical Scheme

Selection Process

Selection is done in the following stages:

  1. Written Test: 125 objective type questions, 1 mark each, for 2.5 hours. There is no negative marking. You need at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PWD against reserved posts) to move ahead.
  2. Document Scrutiny: Based on the written test result, RITES checks documents and shortlists candidates for the interview.
  3. Interview: Candidates are called in a ratio of 1:6 to the number of vacancies. Final selection uses 60% weightage for the written test and 40% for the interview. You need at least 60% in the interview (50% for reserved posts).
  4. Medical Examination: Final appointment depends on you being found medically fit.

You can choose to appear for the selection in Hindi or English. Written test centres are Delhi/Gurgaon, Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Bhubaneswar and Guwahati.

Exam Pattern
