RITES AGM/JGM/DGM Mechanical Recruitment 2026: Overview
RITES Limited is inviting serving railway officers for Additional General Manager, Joint General Manager and Deputy General Manager (Mechanical) under Vacancy Circular No. 16/26 (D). This Mechanical Engineering recruitment follows the service-channel procedure described in the original circular. RITES has issued a separate extension notification for receipt of forwarded applications.

Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical engineering consultancy assignments for RITES' railway and infrastructure clients
- Oversee project execution, quality control, and technical compliance in mechanical works
- Coordinate with railway zones, production units, and client organisations on technical matters
- Review designs, technical reports, and cost estimates for mechanical systems
- Guide and supervise engineering teams working under your division
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and Railway Board guidelines
- Prepare periodic progress reports and present them to senior management
Eligibility Criteria
Minimum Qualification
Serving IRSME (Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers) officer of Senior Scale or JAG level (Level-11/Level-12, 7th CPC)
Preferred Qualification
Additional relevant qualifications beyond the basic degree/diploma (each earns extra weightage marks)
Required Skills
Domain knowledge in mechanical engineering, managerial ability, project execution experience
Age Limit
18 - 57 years
Age Relaxation:
- Age limit is 55 years for consideration on immediate absorption basis, and 57 years for consideration on deputation basis
