Rajiv Gandhi University, located at Rono Hills, Doimukh in Itanagar, is a Central University established in 2007 by an Act of Parliament and is the premier institution of higher education in Arunachal Pradesh. Its Department of Physical Education has invited candidates for a walk-in interview to fill 3 Teaching Assistant posts. This is a temporary engagement for one semester, though the university may extend it if needed. It's a good opportunity for sports and physical education postgraduates with NET or a Ph.D who want teaching and coaching experience at a central university in the North East.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Master's in Physical Education (M.P.Ed) or Master in Physical Education and Sports (M.P.E.S) from a recognized university with at least 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST/OBC candidates), or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed.
• NET/Ph.D: You must have cleared UGC-NET, or hold a Ph.D awarded as per the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 (and their later amendments) — in which case NET/SLET/SET is not required.
• Desirable: Experience in teaching, training or coaching sportspersons who have participated at national-level or higher competitions is an advantage.
• Desirable: Evidence of your own participation in national or international competitions will also strengthen your candidature.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 1,000 per class, up to a maximum of Rs. 40,000 per month.
• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in interview, so plan your travel accordingly.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is through a walk-in interview — there is no written test:

1. Walk-In Interview: Present your bio-data along with details of your qualifications, experience and specialization to the interview panel.
2. Document Verification: Bring original certificates for verification at the interview venue — you will not be considered without them.
