Who Can Apply?

  • You need a relevant Master's degree with NET/PhD or an equivalent qualification in your subject, as per the UGC Regulations on Minimum Qualifications for Appointment of Teachers and Other Academic Staff 2018 and other applicable UGC/AICTE/NCTE/ICAR norms.
  • Your eligibility will be determined based on the qualifications, experience, and credentials you hold as on the last date of application (17 July 2026).
  • You should carefully read the relevant UGC/AICTE/NCTE/ICAR regulations and the full advertisement before applying, and satisfy yourself about your eligibility — no queries regarding eligibility will be entertained after you apply.
  • You must apply separately for each post/department if you wish to be considered for more than one position.

Salary

  • You will get an honorarium of Rs. 1,500 per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 50,000 per month, as per UGC notification No. F.25-1/2018 (PS/MISC.) dated 28 January 2019.
  • These are purely temporary posts for 1 semester (6 months), and your engagement may be extended after a satisfactory performance review by the University.

Application Fee

  • General / OBC / EWS: Rs. 500
  • SC / ST: Rs. 250
  • PwBD: Exempted
  • The fee is non-refundable and must be paid online through Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.
  • If you are applying for more than one post/department, you must submit separate applications and pay the fee separately for each one.

Selection Process

RGU will select Guest Faculty candidates through the following stages:

  1. Application Screening: Your application and the supporting documents you upload will be scrutinized by the University.
  2. Presentation/Demo Lecture: The University may assess your teaching and research aptitude through a presentation, classroom lecture, or discussion, including your ability to use the latest technology in teaching.
  3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
  4. Document Verification: You must bring all your original documents to the interview for verification — hard copies of the application form need not be submitted separately, but you should carry a printout.

Merely meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee that you will be shortlisted for interview — the University may restrict the number of candidates called based on the recommendations of its screening/shortlisting committee. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the interview, and canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

How to Apply

  1. Go to the CU-UGC Chayan Portal at curec.samarth.ac.in.
  2. Register yourself on the portal before filling the application form.
  3. Go through the "User's Manual" and other resources on the portal if you need help using it.
  4. Fill in the online application form with your qualification, experience, and publication details.
  5. Upload your photograph and signature in JPEG format (each under 50 KB), along with supporting documents for any publications you claim.
  6. Pay the applicable application fee online and submit a separate application for each post you apply to.
  7. Download and print the submitted application PDF — you will need to bring it, along with your original documents, at the time of interview.
