RGCB Project Technical Support III Recruitment 2026: Overview

BRIC-Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology (RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram, an institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, is hiring Project Technical Support III staff under Advertisement No. 15/2026. The posts are in the ICMR Intramural Centre for Collaborative Research (CCR) on Malaria and Host Factors, and you will work in the group of Dr. Rajesh Chandramohanadas, Scientist F.

This is a project-based contract position, not a permanent job. It suits life-science graduates who already have lab experience, or postgraduates in molecular biology or infectious disease biology, who want hands-on work in malaria and host-factor research.

RGCB says it will value a basic grasp of cell culture, interest or experience in microscopy, protein biochemistry or structural biology, work in a BSL-2 laboratory, and earlier research in infectious diseases or haematology. Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: The engagement is initially for one year or until the project ends, whichever comes first, and can be extended after a performance review.
• No future claim: Selection gives you no right to any future position at RGCB, permanent or otherwise — the post ends with the project, like all project positions at the centre.
• Field travel: RGCB prefers candidates who can travel to partner institutions in North-East India for field sample collection and research.
• Citizenship: Only Indian citizens can apply.
