RCF Kapurthala Re-engagement 2026 - 219 Posts

Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala is one of Indian Railways' most important coach manufacturing units, producing LHB coaches, Vande Bharat coaches and other passenger stock for the entire country. Through this notification (No. 2025-E/RCF/P/Rectt./Re-eng. of non-gazzt. staff dated 06.02.2026), RCF wants to bring back experienced retired hands to fill critical skill gaps in its shops. You will work on the same factory floor you served before, under the General Manager/RCF. This is not fresh recruitment — it is re-engagement on contract for retired Railway staff only.

Vacancy Breakdown (Total: 219 Posts)

Note: The number of vacancies may increase or decrease based on RCF's needs. Vacant non-gazetted posts in Pay Level 1 to 9 may also be filled by calling volunteers from the same cadre/category, even up to three levels higher than the post being filled.

Who Can Apply?

  • Retirement status: You must have retired from Indian Railways from Pay Level 2, Level 4, Level 6, Level 7, Level 8 or Level 9 as Non-Gazetted staff.

  • There is no minimum age since all candidates are already retired Railway employees.

Salary & Remuneration

The salary structure here is different from regular Railway jobs. You will not draw a normal Pay Level salary. Instead:

  • Monthly fixed amount = Last Pay drawn at retirement minus Basic Pension.
  • This fixed amount stays the same for the entire contract period — no annual increments, no percentage hikes.
  • No Dearness Allowance (DA), No HRA, No Residential Accommodation.
  • Transport Allowance will be paid for travel between home and RCF, not exceeding the rate applicable at the time of retirement.
  • DA/TA for outstation duty (if assigned) will be paid as per the entitlement you had on your last day of service before superannuation.
  • Paid leave: 1.5 days per completed month of service. Leave cannot be carried forward beyond the calendar year and is not encashable, though payment in lieu is given at discharge if the contract is extended.
