The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has released Advertisement No. 06/2026 for empanelment of young professionals as Junior Research Consultants. Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Essential Qualification: You need an LLB or a postgraduate degree in Social Science from a recognised university with minimum 60% marks.
• Accepted Social Science areas: Political Science, Sociology, International Relations, Social Work, Human Rights, Developmental Communications and related fields are mentioned in the notice.
• Experience: You need 1 year research experience in a government, reputed semi-government, international development, research organisation or NGO, or 1 year legal experience.
• Important note: Internship or training experience is not counted as the required experience.

Preferred Profile

• Higher qualification: M.Phil, LLM or Ph.D. will be preferred.
• Research strength: Published papers, post-qualification experience and practical exposure to human rights issues will help during shortlisting.
• Marks filter: If many people apply, NHRC may shortlist candidates with higher marks, higher qualification or stronger experience.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: below 32 years.

Salary
