Panjab University, Chandigarh has released a walk-in advertisement for 1 Junior Research Fellow post under the DPIIT-IPR Chair, funded by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, under the Scheme of Pedagogy & Research in IPRs for Holistic Education and Academia (SPRIHA). The Chair works on building research and teaching capacity in Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), and this JRF role will support that research work directly. The initial tenure is up to 6 months from the date of joining, extendable based on your performance, availability of funds, and the continuation of the scheme.

Salary
- If you hold a valid UGC-CSIR JRF qualification, you will get a stipend of Rs. 37,000 per month plus annual contingency as per UGC norms.
- If you hold a valid UGC-CSIR NET qualification, you will get a stipend of Rs. 28,000 per month plus an annual contingency of Rs. 25,000 and HRA as admissible.
- The SPRIHA fellowship grant is admissible only if you are not already claiming the UGC-CSIR NET grant separately.
Selection Process (No Written Exam)
Selection is entirely through a walk-in interview — there is no written exam:
- Document Verification: Your academic credentials, DOB proof, Aadhaar card, and personal ID proof will be checked at least 30 minutes before your interview slot. Candidates who fail to produce the required original documents at the time of verification will not be permitted to appear for the interview.
- Interview: Eligible candidates will be interviewed by the Selection Committee. Meeting the eligibility criteria does not guarantee selection, and the Committee's decision is final and binding.
The University reserves the right to cancel, modify, or postpone the walk-in interview or the entire recruitment process at any time without assigning any reason.
