Who Can Apply?

For Professor Posts

• Qualification: MD, MS, DNB or equivalent qualification in the relevant specialty, as shown in the notice.
• Experience: You should have worked as Associate Professor for 3 years in the subject in a permitted, approved or recognized medical college or institution.
• Research: You need at least 4 research publications, including at least 2 publications as Associate Professor, in accepted indexed journals.
• Training: Basic Course in Biomedical Research from an NMC-designated institution and Basic Course in MET are required.

For Associate Professor Posts

• Qualification: MD, MS, DNB or equivalent qualification in the relevant specialty.
• Experience: You should have worked as Assistant Professor for 3 years in the subject in a permitted, approved or recognized medical college or institution.
• Research: You need at least 4 research publications in accepted indexed journals.
• Training: Basic Course in Biomedical Research and Basic Course in MET are required. Special training requirements apply where NMC rules require them.

Other Conditions

• Residence: The notice says the candidate should be an Indian citizen and resident of Maharashtra.
• Registration: You must submit permanent registration proof from the Maharashtra Medical Council or National Medical Commission / Medical Council of India, as applicable.
