National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited, a Maharatna company under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has released Advertisement No. 04/26 for recruitment of Medical Professionals for its hospitals at projects and stations across the country. This recruitment covers 5 medical disciplines including GDMO, Physician, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, and Obstetrics & Gynecology. Physician (General Medicine) has the highest vacancies at 25 posts. MBBS holders with post-graduation in the relevant specialty or MBBS with experience (for GDMO) should apply.

Who Can Apply?

For GDMO (E2 Grade):

• Qualification: MBBS from a recognised university/institution
• Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience or practice after MBBS
• Registration: Valid registration with Medical Council of India (MCI) / National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council

For Physician - General Medicine (E3/E4 Grade):

• Qualification: MD / DNB in General Medicine
• Experience: Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience
• Registration: Valid MCI/NMC/State Medical Council registration

For Pediatrics (E3/E4 Grade):

• Qualification: MD / DNB in Pediatrics, or MBBS with PG Diploma in Child Health
• Experience: Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience

For Ophthalmology (E3/E4 Grade):

• Qualification: MD / DNB in Ophthalmology, or MBBS with PG Diploma in Ophthalmology
• Experience: Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience

For O&G (E3/E4 Grade):

• Qualification: MS / MD / DNB in Obstetrics & Gynecology, or MBBS with PG Diploma in O&G
• Experience: Minimum 1 year post-qualification experience

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 37 years for all posts
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
• OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years relaxation
• PwBD: 10 years relaxation
• Ex-Servicemen: As per Government of India rules

Salary

• GDMO (E2 Grade): Rs. 50,000 - 1,60,000 per month (IDA pay scale)
• Medical Specialist (E3 Grade): Rs. 60,000 - 1,80,000 per month (IDA pay scale)
• Medical Specialist (E4 Grade): Rs. 70,000 - 2,00,000 per month (IDA pay scale)

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications, experience, and other criteria as per the detailed advertisement
2. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. Final selection will be based on performance in the interview

There is no written exam for this recruitment. Selection is based on shortlisting and interview only.

• Provide medical care and treatment to patients at NTPC hospital facilities

• Work in shifts including emergency and on-call duties as per hospital schedule
• Assist in planning and running preventive health programmes for NTPC employees and their families
