NMDC Limited (National Mineral Development Corporation), headquartered in Hyderabad, is one of India's leading mining and mineral exploration companies. NMDC has set up a 3 MTPA integrated Steel Plant at Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, which now operates as NMDC Steel Limited (NSL) under the Ministry of Steel. The company is looking for a senior-level executive to head Operation and Maintenance of the Steel Plant at Nagarnar. This is a prestigious Board-level appointment in a Navaratna PSU.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Engineering Graduate (preferably in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering) from a recognized university or institution with a good academic record

Experience

• At least 21 years of total experience, of which 10 years must be in Operation and Maintenance of a large integrated Steel Plant with 2 MTPA capacity or above
• Strong track record in the Steel Industry with expertise in Plant Operations and Strategic Leadership
• Proven ability to manage large-scale operations, optimize production processes, and implement best practices for operational efficiency and cost optimization
• Leadership skills to manage diverse teams from NSL, outsourced manpower for O&M, and foster collaboration and innovation

For Candidates from Government/PSUs

• Must have worked in E8 Grade (Rs. 1,20,000-3%-2,80,000 IDA) or equivalent CDA pay scale for a minimum of 2 years
• Must attach proof of pay scale for the last 2 years

For Candidates from Private Sector

• Must have drawn a minimum CTC of Rs. 39.60 Lakhs per annum (average) for the last 2 years
• Must have experience at not more than 2 levels below Board level for at least 2 years
• Must attach proof of average annual CTC for the last 2 years

Other Requirements

• Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 50 years
• Maximum Age: 57 years
• Age is calculated as on the last date of receipt of application (20 April 2026)

Salary

• Pay Scale: Rs. 1,50,000 - 3,00,000/- per month (IDA pattern) with 3% annual increment
• Grade: M-11 (Executive Director)
• Additional Benefits: PRP (Performance Related Pay), HRA, CPF, Gratuity, Medical facilities, and Group Insurance as per NMDC rules
