The National Law University of Meghalaya (NLU Meghalaya) Part-Time Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

NLU Meghalaya has released Notification No. NLUM/Rect/MD&Co/141/2023/1462 inviting applications for engagement as a Part-Time Medical Officer at its University Health Clinic on a contractual basis. Retired Medical Officers/Doctors are also welcome to apply - this is a rare opportunity for experienced doctors looking for flexible, part-time work. The engagement is initially for two years and does not confer any right to regular appointment.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: MBBS degree from a recognized university or institution.
• Registration: Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) or the concerned State Medical Council.
• Eligible retirees: Retired Medical Officers/Doctors from Central Government, State Government, Government Medical Colleges, Government Hospitals, Autonomous Institutions, PSUs, or other recognized institutions can also apply, provided they are medically fit and hold a valid registration.
• Preference: Candidates with experience in general medical practice, emergency care, occupational health, or institutional healthcare services will be preferred.

Salary

• You will get a fixed honorarium of Rs. 10,000 per week for four (04) clinic visits, each visit lasting two (02) hours.
• The total consolidated honorarium works out to approximately Rs. 40,000 per month.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be based on:

1. Qualification and Experience Review: Your educational qualifications and relevant clinical experience will be assessed.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a personal interview. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.

• Perform other healthcare duties assigned in connection with the clinic's services
