National Institute of Technology Warangal (NIT Warangal) Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

NIT Warangal has released Advertisement No. G/3806/2026-MA dated 23 July 2026, inviting applications for a Junior Research Fellow position under the sanctioned project "Design and Analysis of Quantum-Safe Cybersecurity Protocols for Secure and Privacy-Preserving Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence", funded by ANRF-PMECRG, Government of India, under Principal Investigator Dr. Vikas Srivastava. This is a temporary project position running until 13 July 2029. This fellowship is part of the Anusandhan National Research Foundation's Prime Minister's Early Career Research Grant (ANRF-PMECRG) scheme, which funds early-career research projects at Indian institutions - giving you hands-on research experience in cybersecurity, machine learning, and AI. A big plus for selected candidates - you will also be encouraged to apply for the Ph.D. program at NIT Warangal, subject to meeting the institute's admission criteria.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification (GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL): Master's degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG level
• Qualification (SC/ST/PwD): Master's degree in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA at both UG and PG level
• Mandatory: You must have qualified CSIR-UGC NET or GATE to apply for this JRF position
• Preferred Knowledge: Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA), and Cryptography

Age Limit

• The upper age limit for this post is 28 years.

Salary

• You will get Rs. 37,000 per month + 20% HRA, totalling Rs. 44,400 per month, for the first two years.
• From the third year onward, the pay increases to Rs. 42,000 per month + 20% HRA, totalling Rs. 50,400 per month.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written test for this JRF position. Selection happens in two steps:

2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email or phone to attend an in-person interview at NIT Warangal
