National Institute of Technology Goa (NIT Goa), located at Cuncolim in South Goa, has released a notification for 1 Student Activity & Sports Officer (SAS Officer) position under Advertisement No. NITGoa/RECT/CONT/2026/53, dated 7 August 2026. This is a temporary appointment for six months, which may be extended for another six months based on your performance. Candidates with a Ph.D. degree get a higher consolidated pay of Rs. 50,000 per month compared to Rs. 40,000 for a Master's degree holder. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Master's degree in Physical Education or Master's degree in Sports Sciences (or an equivalent degree) with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA/UGC point scale, along with a good academic record from a recognized university or institute.
• Sports Record: You must have represented your University or College at inter-University, Inter-Collegiate, State and/or National level championships.
• National-Level Test: You must have qualified in the national-level test conducted by the UGC or any other UGC-approved agency.

Note: Meeting these essential qualifications does not automatically entitle you to an interview call — NIT Goa may set a higher shortlisting criteria if a large number of applications are received.

Age Limit

• You should not be more than 35 years old.
• Age Relaxation: As applicable per Government of India norms for reserved categories.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 40,000 per month if you hold a Master's degree.
• You will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 50,000 per month if you hold a Ph.D. degree.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

NIT Goa will select candidates through a single stage:

1. Interview: Conducted in offline mode. Only shortlisted candidates will be informed of the interview timing by email after their applications are scrutinized.
