NIBMG Research Associate-I Recruitment 2026: Overview

BRIC-National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG), Kalyani is hiring a Research Associate-I for a DBT-funded colon cancer research project. The project looks at how the P53 P300S mutation is linked to colon cancer development, using samples from Indian patients along with cell and animal model systems. This is a contractual project post, not a permanent institute job, and it suits a researcher who is comfortable moving between cell culture, animal work and imaging.

The project is led by Principal Investigator Dr. Sagar Sengupta, with Dr. Arindam Maitra as Co-Principal Investigator. The project itself runs until 4 June 2028, so there is room for extensions within that window if your work and the project's needs justify it.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Tenure: You are first appointed for one year; any extension depends on your performance and the project's requirements.
• Work outside NIBMG: You will be expected to run experiments in collaborators' labs outside NIBMG from time to time.
• Interview: Only shortlisted candidates are called, and the interview is held online.
• Final decision: BRIC-NIBMG's decision on eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications and the mode of selection is final.
• Hindi notice: The Hindi version of the notice prints the closing date incorrectly — follow the English version of the advertisement.
