If you have a graduation degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, you can apply online before 23 August 2026. National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC) Media Coordinator Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

The National Health Systems Resource Centre (NHSRC), New Delhi, is the apex technical support institution for India's National Health Mission (NHM), working directly under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. NHSRC is now hiring a Media Coordinator for the SNA Section to support the Ministry's day-to-day media and creative content work. You'll be the link between MoHFW's Programme Division and the agencies producing audio-video and creative content for the Ministry's health communication campaigns. This is a good opportunity if you enjoy working at the intersection of government communication and media production, and want direct exposure to how a central government ministry runs its public messaging.

NHSRC works across multiple divisions — including Reproductive and Child Health (RCH), Tribal Health, Family Planning, and Health Systems Strengthening — and regularly brings in consultants to support the Ministry's outreach and communication needs. As a Media Coordinator, you'll report to the Additional DG (Media) / Chief of Media & Communications, MoHFW, or the designated Media & Communications Officer. NHSRC's consultant roles are advertised and processed entirely online through its dedicated recruitment portal, separate from the main NHSRC website — this is the established process the organisation uses to hire specialists across its various technical divisions.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: A graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in the relevant field (media coordination, content production, or similar work)
  • Preferred Qualification: An additional degree or diploma in Mass Communication or Journalism will strengthen your application
  • Preferred Experience: Prior work experience with a Government department, PSU, or Autonomous Body is an added advantage
  • Skills: Basic computer knowledge and typing skills are desirable, since you'll be coordinating documentation and correspondence regularly

You don't need a specialised media degree to apply — a general graduation degree combined with hands-on coordination experience is enough to meet the essential criteria. Remember, the graduation degree and 2 years of experience are your essential (must-have) criteria — you need to meet both to be considered. The Mass Communication/Journalism qualification and Government/PSU/Autonomous Body experience are desirable (good-to-have) — they aren't compulsory, but they will improve your chances during shortlisting. If you've previously worked with government communication teams or creative agencies, that experience will help you stand out.

Age Limit

  • You should be below 36 years of age as on 1 January 2026.

Salary

  • Selected candidates will get a consolidated remuneration of Rs. 28,000 to Rs. 32,000 per month, depending on your qualification and experience.
  • You are eligible for an annual increment of 5% on renewal of your contract — this can continue for up to five years of engagement at a particular consultant level.

Selection Process

NHSRC will review every application against the essential and desirable qualifications listed in the notification. No written exam is mentioned for this post.

  1. Screening of Applications: Based on your graduation qualification, years of experience, and any additional certifications in Mass Communication or Journalism

Since the notification does not specify a written test, shortlisted candidates may be contacted for a discussion or interview before final selection.
