NHM UP has released Ref. No. 705/SPMU/NHM/HR/2026-27/1963 for 4 General Manager positions at its State Programme Management Unit in Lucknow. These are backlog vacancies that can be filled either through on-deputation or through the Open Market (contractual) route. The General Manager will provide strategic leadership for planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of NHM programmes across Uttar Pradesh, including preparation of the Programme Implementation Plan (PIP) and District Action Plans (DAPs). There is no application fee for this recruitment. NHM UP will never ask you for money at any stage of the recruitment process.

Who Can Apply?

For Open Market (Contractual) candidates:

• You need a full-time MBA (HR/Materials Management/Production/Operations/Supply Chain Management), OR a Master in Public Health/Hospital Administration (MHA)/Community Medicine, OR an MCA, OR a B.E./B.Tech (CS/IT) with MBA, OR MBBS/BDS with a 2-year PG Diploma in Public Health/Hospital Administration.
• You need 11 years of post-qualification experience in Public Health/Healthcare Management, including at least 3 years in a senior-level position at the State/Headquarter level.
• Contract tenure runs till 31 March 2027, extendable based on your performance and government approval.

For Deputation candidates:

• You must currently be working with the Central Government, any State Government, or a Central/State Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU/SPSU).
• Deputation tenure is 3 years, extendable up to 2 more years (maximum 5 years).

Age Limit

• You should not be more than 55 years old as on the last date of online submission (inclusive of all age relaxations).
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and SC candidates; 15 years for Persons with Disabilities; 3 years plus period of Army service for Emergency/Short Service Commissioned Officers and Ex-Servicemen of Uttar Pradesh (UP domicile mandatory for this relaxation).
• If you claim age relaxation in more than one category, you get only the concession that benefits you the most.
• Your Date of Birth will be taken from your Matriculation/Secondary certificate, and no request to change it later will be entertained.

Salary

• Open Market (Contractual): Honorarium of Rs. 1,25,000 per month, maximum age 50 years for this route.
• On Deputation: Pay as per deputation rules applicable to your parent government department/organisation.

Application Fee

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

1. Screening of Applications: Based on your qualification, experience and marks. Minimum qualifying marks are 33% for UR, 30% for OBC-NCL, and 24% for SC candidates.
2. Document Verification (DVP): Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification.
3. Personal Interview: Candidates who clear DVP are called for a personal interview. No TA/DA is paid for the interview.

If 15 or fewer applications are received for a position, all applicants go directly to document verification. If more than 15 are received, only screened candidates proceed to DVP.

Good to Know

• Tie-Breaking: If two candidates score equal marks, preference goes first to more experience, then to the older candidate by date of birth, then alphabetical order of name, and finally to higher marks in essential qualification.
• OBC-NCL candidates need a caste certificate issued on or after 1 April 2026, valid up to the last date of online submission.
• SC/OBC-NCL/PwD candidates who are not domiciled in Uttar Pradesh will not get the reservation or age relaxation benefit.
