National Health Mission (NHM), Chandigarh under the Health & Family Welfare Department has released advertisement no. NHM-UT/04/2026-27 for 6 specialist doctor posts under the National Health Mission and Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PMABHIM). Three of the posts are backlog vacancies for reserved categories. Selection is purely through walk-in interview — no written exam.

• Radiologist (under NHM): 1 post (Gen) — Rs. 1,50,000/month
• Paediatrician (under NHM): 1 post (SC backlog) — Rs. 1,00,000/month

Who Can Apply?

For Radiologist (Rs. 1,50,000/month):

• Essential: MBBS Degree with Diploma / MD / DNB in Radio Diagnosis from a recognised university
• Registration: State Medical Council or Medical Council of India (New Delhi)
• Preferential: Experience in relevant field; CCC+ Course on Computer Concepts (120 hours)

For Paediatrician (Rs. 1,00,000/month):

• Essential: MBBS Degree with MD / DNB in Paediatrics / DCH from a recognised university
• Registration: State Medical Council or MCI New Delhi
• Preferential: Experience in Newborn Care Unit / SNCU; CCC+ certification

For Gynaecologist (Rs. 1,00,000/month):

• Essential: MBBS Degree with MD / DNB in Obstetrics & Gynaecology / DGO from a recognised university
• Registration: State Medical Council or MCI New Delhi
• Preferential: Experience in relevant field; CCC+ certification

For Epidemiologist NP-NCD (Rs. 85,000/month):

• Essential: MBBS Degree with MD / DNB in Preventive & Social Medicine / Community Health Administration
• Registration: State Medical Council or MCI New Delhi
• Preferential: 2 years of experience in Health Management or Public Health Programme after PG; CCC+ certification

For Microbiologist (Rs. 85,000/month):

• Essential: MBBS Degree with MD / DNB in Microbiology from a recognised university
• Registration: State Medical Council or MCI New Delhi
• Preferential: Experience in relevant field; CCC+ certification

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 62 years (since these are specialist posts)
• No minimum age limit specified.

Salary

• Radiologist: Rs. 1,50,000 per month (consolidated)
• Paediatrician: Rs. 1,00,000 per month (consolidated)
• Gynaecologist: Rs. 1,00,000 per month (consolidated)
• Epidemiologist: Rs. 85,000 per month (consolidated)

Posts are contractual initially up to 31.03.2027, extendable based on performance and project duration.

Selection Process

Selection is through walk-in interview:

1. Registration: Strictly between 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on 20 May 2026.
2. Walk-in Interview: Held right after registration at the Office of Mission Director, NHM, 4th Floor, Administrative Block, GMSH-16, Chandigarh.
3. Document Verification: Bring original certificates and self-attested copies.

The Mission Director, NHM reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts or even reject the walk-in interview without assigning any reason.

• Maintain proper medical records, case sheets and reports
• Support National Health Mission programmes and PMABHIM activities
• Train and mentor junior doctors, residents and paramedical staff
