NHAI Joint Advisor (Technical) - CCIE Recruitment 2026 - 2 Posts

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, is looking for experienced retired professionals to join as Joint Advisor (Technical) to assist its Conciliation Committee of Independent Experts (CCIE). The CCIE plays a key role in resolving contract disputes related to national highway projects. This is a contract-based engagement open to retired engineers from Central/State Government, PSUs, and autonomous bodies who have hands-on experience handling arbitration and conciliation matters in infrastructure projects.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need a graduation degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university or institute.
• Experience: You must have retired from Central Government, State Government, a PSU, or a recognised institute at a level equivalent to Executive Engineer or above, but below the level of Chief Engineer.
• Relevant Experience: You should have worked on contract management, arbitration, or conciliation matters related to infrastructure projects.
• Desirable: A Degree in Law from a recognised university or institute will be an added advantage.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 65 years as on the last date of receipt of online applications (24 March 2026).

Salary

• Your monthly salary will not exceed Rs. 1,75,000 (consolidated ceiling). This includes your Last Drawn Basic Pay minus Pension, plus Transport Allowance, Domain Specialization Charges, Telephone/Internet Charges, and Hospitality Charges.
• Domain Specialization Charges: Up to Rs. 80,000 per month
• Telephone/Internet Charges: Up to Rs. 2,500 per month
• Hospitality Charges: Up to Rs. 2,500 per month
• Salary is calculated as per the EP/YP Guidelines dated 21.06.2017 (amended from time to time).

Selection Process

Since this is a contract engagement for retired professionals, selection will be based on:

1. Screening of Applications: NHAI will review all applications to check eligibility and relevant experience.
2. Interview / Assessment: Shortlisted candidates may be called for an interview or assessment.
3. Document Verification: Your original certificates, retirement proof, and experience documents will be verified before final engagement.

The contract is for an initial period of 2 years, which may be extended by 1 more year based on performance and NHAI's requirements. NHAI can terminate the contract at any time without giving a reason.
