The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited applications for the post of Joint Advisor (Technical) under the Contract and Concession Implementation and Enforcement (CCIE) wing. This is a great opportunity for retired government engineers who have experience in contract management or arbitration of infrastructure projects.

The positions are on a contract basis at NHAI Headquarters in New Delhi. The initial contract period is 2 years, which can be extended by 1 more year based on performance.

Who Can Apply

Only retired employees from Central Government, State Government, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), or Autonomous Bodies are eligible to apply. You must have retired at the level of Executive Engineer or above, but below Chief Engineer level.

Education:

• Graduation in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute (required)
• Degree in Law from a recognized University or Institute (preferred, not mandatory)

Experience: You must have experience in contract management, arbitration, or conciliation of infrastructure projects during your service.

Age Limit: Maximum 65 years as on 24 March 2026.

Salary

The salary is paid on a consolidated basis with a ceiling of Rs. 1,75,000 per month. The actual pay is calculated as follows:

• Last drawn Basic Pay minus Pension amount
• Plus Transport Allowance
• Plus Domain Specialization Charges (up to Rs. 80,000 per month)
• Plus Telephone and Internet charges (up to Rs. 2,500 per month)
• Plus Hospitality charges (up to Rs. 2,500 per month)

The total consolidated pay will not exceed Rs. 1,75,000 per month in any case.

Selection Process

There is no written exam for this post. NHAI will shortlist candidates based on merit and screening of applications. Only suitable candidates will be called for further process.
