NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of the Maharatna PSU NTPC Ltd., is building out its renewable power and hydrogen generation business, with a target of 60 GW of installed capacity by 2032. Under Advertisement No. 02/26, NGEL is hiring experienced professionals on the Regular Rolls of NGEL for its Corporate Centre, sites, stations, projects, and subsidiaries all across the country. This is a permanent, company-wide posting — you could be placed at any NGEL location, and all posts are transferable at the company's discretion. The recruitment covers two very different experience levels — a mid-career Assistant Engineer role and a senior Deputy General Manager role — so both early and experienced renewable energy professionals can apply.

Who Can Apply?

For Assistant Engineer – RE (E-0 Grade, 100 posts):

• Qualification: Fulltime Regular Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical & Electronics/Instrumentation) from a State Technical Board or an AICTE/UGC recognized institute, with pass marks.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of post-qualification site experience in the Power Sector, including at least 6 years in a 50 MW or larger grid-connected Solar and/or Wind project, in Operation & Maintenance or Asset Management.

For Deputy General Manager – RE (E-6 Grade, 14 posts):

• Qualification: Fulltime Graduate in Engineering (Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics/Control & Instrumentation/Civil/Mechanical) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates with passing marks are also eligible.
• Experience: Minimum 12 years of post-qualification executive-level experience in the Power Sector, including at least 10 years with a Renewable Energy developer of Solar and/or Wind projects, and at least 2 years of site experience in a 50 MW or larger project in Construction, Erection, or Commissioning.
• Government/PSU candidates applying for this post need at least 2 years' experience in the Rs. 80,000-2,20,000 scale (IDA E-5 Grade or above) within their 12 years of executive experience.

Age Limit

• Assistant Engineer – RE: Upper age limit is 40 years.
• Deputy General Manager – RE: Upper age limit is 44 years.
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and 10 years for PwBD candidates, plus relaxation for Ex-Servicemen as per government guidelines.
• All age, qualification, and experience calculations are done with reference to 31 July 2026, the original last date of the advertisement, even though the application deadline has since been extended.

Salary

• Assistant Engineer – RE (E-0 Grade): Pay scale of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,20,000, with an initial basic pay of Rs. 40,000.
• Deputy General Manager – RE (E-6 Grade): Pay scale of Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 2,40,000, with an initial basic pay of Rs. 90,000.
• You will also get Dearness Allowance and other perquisites, allowances, and terminal benefits as per NGEL's company rules.

Selection Process

NGEL may conduct the selection in multiple stages depending on the number of applications received:

3. Interview: Final round for shortlisted candidates.
